Introducing Christian Kent…our Executive Head Chef
John Tompkins & Kate Cavan, owners of The Summer House, are excited to announce the appointment of Christian Kent as new Executive Head Chef from Thursday 8th December 2016.
Christian brings with him more than 30 years’ of experience in the restaurant industry, having worked with some of the most highly reputable hotels and restaurants like Claridges and The Savoy in London but most locally known as chef patron of the legendary Blue Room Brasserie.
In his role as Executive Head Chef at The Summer House, Christian will oversee all food aspects of the restaurant and bar area. Keeping in line with the Summer House style of classic British cuisine with a twist.
Christian’s cooking style is defined by fresh, quality ingredients used to create dishes the people of Sheffield know and love. The Summer House is a relaxed restaurant open from breakfast through to dinner, 7 days a week, holding up to 50 guests. Christian said “I am looking forward to getting started at The Summer House, using the finest quality Derbyshire Beef Steaks. Bringing back old favourites like the Bento Box, Prawns Pil Pil and Warm Chocolate Brownie.”
